Initial Proposals

Since November 2005, a number of public meetings have taken place in the village with a view to identifying key issues on how to achieve ‘good growth’ for Maresfield as a whole. There is a strong relationship between the quality and number of new houses and the ability of the developer to contribute to local infrastructure and amenity improvements.

The design team together with David Wilson Homes have investigated local needs now and in the future, calculated financial returns and listened to the wishes and concerns the community has raised so far. Based on that process the design team worked up an initial masterplan which they discussed at a workshop day on the 27th of April 2008 with over 90 residents and local stakeholders.
